Featured in this aircraft watercolor photo sketch is an Aeronca Champ, a close relative of the Piper J-3 Cub but differs in its ability to be soloed from the front tandem seat allowing better forward visibility, wider cabin and joy stick controls.  The Areconca Champ was introduced by the Aeronca Aircraft Corporation in 1944.  This Champ was tied down at Norridgewock, Maine Airport.
