The Greenville Seaplane Fly In is held every fall on the weekend after Labor Day on beautiful Moosehead Lake in the heart of Maine. This seaplane fly in is the world's largest, continually running seaplane event. Pilots and friends come from all parts of the world.

This four day aviation begins with a Thursday Night Moonlight Cruise and Buffet aboard and the steam ship Katahdin, once used to haul logs downstream to Bangor Maine where at one time much of the world's pulp and lumber stock eminated. Friday, Saturday and Sunday includes gatherings at the Stobie Seaplane Base, a short walk from downtown Greenville, where float planes and flying boats conduct fly bys, Take Offs and Spot Landings Contests as well as Accuracy Bomb Drops, Bush Pilot Canoe Races and Taxi Slalom Competitions. Vendors set up booths in the hangar and thousands of people gather to enjoy the days filled with seaplanes buzzing about, aircraft going up and down the ramp aided by the local Civil Air Patrol, special meetings, training and a whole lot of fun. There are gathering at the airport where landplane pilots ramp and camp and where the Friday night BBQ and Saturday Night Banquet is held.
