Maine Aeronnautics Association

The Maine Aeronautics Association is a non-profit, professional organization dedicated to pilots and their communities. Our mission is to foster the advancement of general aviation through advocacy, education, legislation, business and community developments; and to enhance public awareness of the social and economic benefits of aviation communities. The MAA was organized in 2000 to provide the necessary tools to build a stronger, more viable voice for pilots, aviation businesses, and the surrounding communities. The MAA continuously addresses these needs by organizing and sponsoring fly-ins, safety seminars, and special events. We also provide educational opportunities for Maine students through ACE Camp scholarships. We work with other Maine aviation organizations and business’s to keep flying safe and fun. We recognize Maine as a truly special place to live and fly, and are committed to protecting, promoting, and preserving this privilege. We are indebted to Bob Hirshberg and Scruffyy Productions for their steadfast support of MAA. MAA 96 Chewonki Neck Rd Wiscasset, ME 04578

Texas Flying Legend Museum

Based out of Ellington Field in Houston, Texas, Texas Flying Legends Museum flies their growing collection from Texas to North Dakota each spring, to Maine each summer, and back to Texas in the fall. The Museum’s mission is to acquire the best flying WWII aircraft available today, and campaign these Flying Legends with a sense of inspiration for those who are not aware or involved in the great history of the United States, and most importantly, honor the many that are.

Texas Flying Legends Museum Mission: To acquire the best flying WWII aircrafts available today and campaign these Flying Legends across our great nation with a message of inspiration and honor. These planes are great representations of the virtue, strength, pride, and valor that each member of our armed forces carried with them during a period of time when our country needed them most. The Texas Flying Legends Museum is here to remind our younger generations of these characteristics that have been shown throughout our country’s history, making us the greatest nation in the world. We hope that these pristine warbirds can provide a sense of inspiration for those who are not aware or involved in the great history books of this country, and most importantly honor the many that are.
